| Posted: | | | | Fearing Profiler won‘t work with one of the next iOS updates I bought an iPad 3 at the bay with iOS 9.3.6. max. Profiler works fine except for „Browse“ and „Charts“. Hoped I would have a fully working Profiler again with my big downgrade. I guess there is no way to bring charts and browse back? Or is there a work-around? |

| Posted: | | | | Charts not working seems to be a server issue and not an iPad OS issue. I have an iPhone running iOS 12 and it doesn't work there either. No great loss since I never use Charts. |

| Posted: | | | | (at) nanoron: Thanks for the reply. That‘s comforting. I was worried, that I chose the wrong iPad on eBay, that charts would work with iOS 8, 10 or 11/12. I do not use charts either . Just wanted to make sure I can use Profiler with (almost) all features for the next few years regardless if it is still working with the newest iOS. For me the 40.- for the refurbished iPad was worth it. Cheers, Marco |

| Posted: | | | | As far as I can tell, older iOS devices work fine except for the upload and charts issues, which affects all iOS devices. I have an iPad Air 2 and an iPhone 5S that I also use in case the next version of iOS won't run DVD Profiler properly. So far we have been very lucky that DVD Profiler has been holding up well. Of course, it is only a matter of time before it doesn't. My main concern with buying old iOS devices is the battery. I have an iPad Air 1 with a totally dead battery, an iPad Air 2 with a good battery and an iPhone 5s with a dead battery that I had replaced. It all depends on how it was used. I suspect charging overnight tends to kill a battery. | | | Last edited: by nanoron |
